Miss Treats' Donuts
Kind of Project: Product Poster Design
Programs Used: Illustrator, Photoshop
During my internship with Visual Merchandise, I was tasked to create a poster advertising a new product, which was a donut themed to the Halloween Horror Nights house titled "Major Sweets Candy Factory". The house centered around a candy factory in the 1950's that turned children into serial murderers by giving them tainted candy. Found all over the house are posters and audio dialogues that have positively cryptic undertones. Their marketing tactic is to distract people and make them feel joy in order to reel them in and turn the tables on them.
With all of this being said, I tried to embody that kind of marketing within the poster I designed while also being heavily influenced by vintage posters from the 1950's. Additionally, the new donut had body part gummies on top of it and would be filled with jelly by a syringe right in front of guests, which I made sure to illustrate in the center of the poster. This poster was up for about two months at San Fran Candy Company at Universal Studios Florida.
