Sparkles the Puppet

          This puppet was my first attempt at making a more complicated design. I used a sweater as the core structure of the puppet, which functions almost as a harness around the puppeteer. The right arm goes through the right sleeve, while the left arm goes up into the puppet. A fake arm was stuffed and sewn to the inside of the sweater pocket in order to deceive the viewer. When it comes to the puppet itself, I bought a pair of sweatpants, cut the legs off, and sewed one inside of the other. That way I was able to stuff the outermost inner layer of space, while also having the innermost layer of space for the puppeteer's arm to go through. I created the head separately and then sewed it onto the rest of the body.
